My parents came to visit this weekend. So, between soccer games a few things got done. I had a vision several months ago to use a vintage bathroom faucet knob that I got off of eBay as a curtain tie back. I went to Lowes with my Dad, and he found the solution with a few plumbing parts. He fmade my vision a reality! Check out the finished project:
According to my Dad he used the following parts to create my faucet knob tie back: the antique faucet knob, 1/2" galvanized flange, 1/2" by 3/8" brass bushing, 3/8" by 2 1/2" brass nipple, and a set screw.
I used simple white panels from Country Curtains sewn together to give it the look of one larger panel. My mom sewed on the aqua ball fringe because she is a much better seamstress than me. The edge of the trim was incredibly narrow, and I thought I would mess it up. My husband hung the large safety pin I've had for a couple of years.
My mom and I also found time to do a little bit of shopping, and I scored this awesome light up metal crown for my craft room. Love!
Additionally, after some discussion, googling and you tubing, my parents and I have also come up with a cornice board plan for the kitchen and craft room. So stay tuned in the coming weeks for that.
Thanks for stopping by!
